Maim All Christians!

robertson_bringiton.gif…because killing them, it turns out, would be, the Christian thing to do. And after the whole post-9/11 crackdown, we so, so, don’t want to be confused with murderous zealots.
Via Robertson Calls for Chavez Assassination, the Washington Post:

Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson has suggested that American agents assassinate Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez to stop his country from becoming “a launching pad for communist infiltration and Muslim extremism.”
[…]
“We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability,” Robertson said Monday on the Christian Broadcast Network’s “The 700 Club.”

Anyone who still takes Robertson’s claims to be a devout Christian seriously need to take a look at a little thing called The New Testament.

Maybe we should take out Pat Robertson, in case The 700 Club ecomes a launching pad for extremist right-wing politics and fundie Christian infiltration??

I wonder how many zealots agree with that asshole Robertson. The only thing Chavez has done is take away from the elitists who try to control his country and help the poor. I`ve done my own research on Chavez and he seems to be a compassionate person to the poor and doesn`t give lip service about it like the ones running our country. The only ones screaming are the pugnacious assholes who control everything. Do y`alls own research on him and you`ll see he is leveling the field a little and the “richies” can`t stand it

Whether or not Chavez is a good man or not isn’t really the question. The question is whether or not it’s ok for Pat Robertson to call for his death. To be honest, I don’t think it makes the slight bit of difference. The political leaders he underwrites have been calling for regime change in a number of countries for years and that’s simply code for assasination in many cases, Robertson has simply decided to start speaking for himself on this particular subject. That aside, it should be embarassing to any christian, of which I’m one, that someone who claims to have some amount of leadership in the Christian community should be talking openly about assasinations and such. Pat Robertson is ridiculous.

of course I`ll have to agree to a certain point about whether Chavez is a good man on Robertsons remarks. Perhaps my point is that none of our media has given Chavez a fair shake. Another point I wish to make is that this is due to our media being controlled by corporate and government interests instead of like it was when Watergate happened. They all give our politicians an open forum to make inaccurate statements about something that doesn`t fit into their corporate masters wishes.

Yes, yes. We will need more and bigger blocks of granite on which we may find the Holy Decalogue. If such an absence can affect his holiness Pat R. so badly, just think how evil the rest of us are. “Let’s drop the big one now!”
