Hood
photographers (2002 tour)
misplaced music 2

Recorded in November 2001 for distribution on their eventual tour, this somber seven-inch has all the lonesome qualms of winter as ensconced in Hood's now-trademarked plaintive acoustic guitar and violin trickery.

For those expecting something akin to their recent electronic-tinged material for Domino, be forewarned: "Photographers" sounds more like classic Hood, the Hood of the late nineties that expressed itself more through simplicity than complexity. If anything, this comes off more like the 1998-era material produced for them by Third Eye Foundation's Matt Elliot.

The record is backed with a delicate coupling of songs, "Winter Will Set You Back" and "Late Farming," which pick up where the A-side left off. Such sad, sad material. The songs' titles basically describe the music far more efficiently than we could ever claim to do.
