another large design database, where i spent thirty hours of my summer 97 work week. if only you could see the studio...pool table and mad business antics.

tomato:
the british design magnates, graham wood, simon taylor, et al, with their own promotional (and shockwave-enhanced) site pushing their "anti-rom" release. a wee bit temperamental and may be down at times...

haus of jinn:
one john j hill gone freelance; reminiscent of tvt/waxtraxs work with the black box project of a few years ago. very nineties, very david carson with a touch of tomato.

52mm:
what happens when the above-mentioned john j hill collaborates with others. very nice.

entropy8:
probably linked to by more than your avergae handful of sites. a nice portfolio, really...

brnr:
another one-man portfolio, but still possessing a bit more. like tDR on the web.

rezn8:
one of what seems to be an increasing number of design-oriented sites.

model five:
one design firm's coprorate site, but still featuring a nice interface and consistent feel throughout.

twenty-two product:
the web presence of motion-grafx specialists.

p2:
corporate and RGB-oriented. new yorkers take on the youth-marketed broadcast media.

the eclectica:
an individual revealing one take on beauty in its modern incarnation, simplicity versus fashion.

atlas:
an essential resource for photographic collections and essays.

blind spot:
like atlas, but with more of a new-yorker displaying his or her works in a museum.

spectacle:
absolutely splendid, a guided tour of all things beautiful, creative and almost magical.

core:
rather contemporary in light of some of these other selections, but still a worthwhile stop. 

the onion:
you prolly already know about this of course.

suck:
another little humor magazine.

sito:
a set of assorted contents, contextual links.

bohemia labs:
a sort of designer's web journal. half thought and half vision.

metrobeat:
launch a new window and explore the nightlife of new york; clubs and concerts and commercialism.

jodi:
the epitome of a totally wacked, fucked-out experience. seriously manic.

!sdrawkcab:
converts anything on the web into its alternate-universe html format. a really fun diversion.

giant robot:
basically a little webzine; one of those things you've been hearing about maybe.

e!online:
like liz smith screaming in html.

corpwatch:
a touch of the political possibilities of the web.
